| Tray Size - What you should know before you
buy...
A final caution goes to the outer diameter of the trays themselves. This can vary from 10 inches to 15 inches depending on manufacturer. Typically, the smaller the diameter, the more trays the manufacturer will allow you to stack. However, tray stacking extends dehydration time and forces more operator interaction with tray rotation during the dehydration process. The last little tidbit to consider is whether 15-inch trays will fit in your dish washer. (Cleaning these trays by hand gets to be quite a chore!) Back to Dehydrators. |
